October 10, 2018, The ninth annual meeting of ISO/TC256 was hosted in Guangzhou, China. It was held by ISO/TC256 "Pigment, Dyestuff and Body Pigment" Technical Committee, China National Standardization Administration Committee, Guangzhou Huifu Research Institute Co., Ltd., Guangzhou JBS Technology Industrial Co., Ltd. and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) (Changzhou ) Coating Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd. This meeting ended on Oct 12th. There are more than 100 experts and official members from home and abroad attended the meeting.
The annual meeting lasted three days. Experts and members reviewed the resolutions and minutes of the 8th annual meeting, listened to and discussed the progress of the existing international standard projects of each working group, and reviewed the new projects planned for the project. The Technical Committee Liaison Report was discussed.
Dr. Wang Yuelin, the dean of the research institute of Yichang Huifu Silicon Materials Co., Ltd., is appointed as the promotion officer of the committee, to promote the application of international standards and to call on more Chinese enterprises to participate in international standardization activities.
ISO/TC256 “Pigments, Dyes and Body Pigments” International Standards Technical Committee was established in 2010 and has issued 98 ISO standards. There are 13 projects under development, and now has 12 active member states and 18 observer members.
